March 5, 1994 - L. Kershbaumer retires from post!

Hazleton, PA native Louis A. Kershbaumer has retired after serving 28 years at president of Federal Machine Corp., Des Moines, IA.

Under his leadership, the firm became a dominant force in the vending industry and remains so today. Every current administrator, of the firm’s six sales organizations first served under Kershbaumer in either a distributorship or as an employee. One of his policies was to nurture and develop the skills of employees of the organization with leadership potential.

Kershbaumer was educated in the Hazelton School District. He is a son of the late Peter and Rose Kershbaumer. A Sister, Dr. Rose, is a SCMM and a Prof. at Penn Univ. Nursing while his brother Virgil still resides in Hazelton. Although retired from his position, he will continue his career in marketing.
